Description   What a fabulous way to honour our planet and our environment on April 22! Spreading joy, love, and playfulness through laughter contributes in a meaningful way both personally and in community. Let’s sow our seeds of joy, sprinkle them like wild flowers in our community, water them with love, and grow wellness through mindful intention. Let’s have some fun! What is Laughter Yoga? Laughter Yoga is a unique exercise routine that combines unconditional laughter with yogic (Pranayama) breathing. A Laughter Yoga session starts with a gentle warm-up of stretching, chanting, clapping and body movement and introduces feelings of childlike playfulness. Breathing exercises prepare the lungs for laughter and laughter exercises. We will finish with a Laughter Meditation and guided relaxation. Dr. Kataria (the founder of Laughter Yoga) created this movement in 1995 with the purpose of creating world peace through the joy of laughter. Benefits of Laughter Yoga: 1. Elevated Mood 2. Stress Reduction 3. Social Connection 4. Laughing Through Challenges Who is Laughter Yoga for? EVERYBODY that copes well in group dynamics. This is an inclusive group. There are no limitations for anyone using a cane, a wheelchair, or needs to sit and rest. We will come to you. Children 10+ are welcome accompanied by parents or an adult. Your Guide -- Susan Lee Woodward: I am a certified Laughter Yoga facilitator, Medical Intuitive, Reiki Practitioner and an avid Writer/Blogger. I also facilitate Mindful-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) meditation sessions. Aside from work, spending time in nature hiking the trails of North Vancouver, cuddling with my beautiful new granddaughter, and playing the flute brings such joy and contentment to my life. I believe that we are one collective consciousness that works in unison to create this magnificent world we live in. We all have a moral responsibility to bring love and understanding to all that we do, including protection of this beautiful planet, to caring for the children, to standing up for what is right and just. · Voted one of the top 10 Reiki Practitioners in Vancouver by Crowd Wellness · Voted one of the top 25 Intuitives in Vancouver by Crowd Wellness
