Slow down, cultivate stillness, and create space. Often called the practice of contemplation, Yin Yoga focuses on holding passive stretches in order to move beyond the superficial muscles and release tension. This gentle floor sequence can feel intense as we learn to observe sensation, surrender to movement and experience each moment.

Ahimsa Yoga Level 1 is an open-level active class that accommodates yogis of different levels of experience. (Although, absolute beginners may want to try a few designated beginner classes first!) The class can be challenging, but is presented in a way that promotes safety, and encourages all participants to work at the level of challenge and intensity that works best for their practice.
